Our process

The process of working with clients begins with an introductory 'no obligation' chat. This is normally about 40 minutes duration. We'll listen closely to you, ask some questions and begin to understand what you are trying to achieve. If you don't know what this is, we'll try to start shaping your objectives with you. This first meeting is usually enough for clients to decide if they want us to work with them. From here, we have another more in depth meeting, seek better clarity on the project scope and paramaters. This meeting is included in any project scope you agree. We then go away, write up the brief for the project and include a quote for works (see below), normally costed on a total project basis including development and delivery of the final outcome (usually a review and recommendations and action plan if required). You can then decide if you agree the project and our quote and from here we get started and deliver on the agreed needs and objectives.


Pricing

Most projects we undertake for clients are costed on a total project input and delivery basis. This is based on acalculation of how much time (including contact time) we need to spend on developing, managing and delivering the project for you. We will base our quote on what we think are the required hours/days input plus any out of pocket costs we might have such as significant travel, accommodation (if required). Most of the delivery costs in our quotes are normally absorbed, but if we think these costs might be higher than normal, we'll outline them seperately in our quote to you. As an indication of our project costs, a buyer advocacy project (supporting you purchase a new business from end to end) will typically run between $2,000 and $4,000 (approx 4-6 weeks involvement) depending on the complexity of the process and the detail of what you require us to do. Typically such a project would include review and due diligence as part of our support. Undertaking a robust business review and providing a report with recommendations would typically run 2-3 weeks including reasonable contact time with the client and at business level and indicative cost range would be $1,500 to $3,000, again depending on the objectives set and the level of review required. Alternatively, we can cost by the hour or on a retained basis (normally discounted) if this is preferred.
